Health and Safety

Electric and Magnetic Fields (EMFs) are emitted by any device that uses or produces electricity including the earth itself.  The discussion of EMFs  associated with large transmission lines is common when new projects are proposed.  The issue has been thorough studied by credible and recognized independent experts for more than 30 years.  NorthWestern has summarized some of the key findings in the attached report, but we have included links to other peer-reviewed, scientific studies from credible organizations to assist you with your own research.
