NorthWestern Energy is conducting an active outreach program with the public, various federal, state and local governmental agencies and other interested parties.
MSTI project leaders have hosted 11 public meetings and have met with the county commissions in 15 counties in Montana and Idaho. Additional meetings will be held with county commissions in late spring and early summer 2008 following selection of the preferred route.
Following are additional options for staying informed on the MSTI project:
- Project information is posted on the Internet at www.msti500kv.com. E-mail comments may be submitted through this site.
- Newsletters will be mailed periodically. To have your name added to the newsletter mailing list; visit the project website or contact one of the individuals listed in the contact section.
- Public scoping meetings will be held early in the EIS process to determine the issues to be addressed in the EIS.
- The draft EIS will be available for public review and comment when it is completed. More information concerning access to this document will be announced at that time.
